The Holiday Season is upon us and we are excited to share a few of our favorite things for the kiddos right now!
1. This is How We Do It: One Day in the Lives of Seven Kids from around the World by Matt Lamothe
We picked up this book a few weeks ago at one of our favorite local book shops, Stories BK. The inspiration and message behind the book is so beautiful and it has been such a wonderful read with both of our kids, ages 3 and 6. As we read through the book the kids love turning the pages back each time so they can reference the photos of the individual children and really put themselves in their shoes. The author writes:
"The world is a huge place inhabited by millions and millions of people who go through their lives doing the things they are used to, typically unaware of the daily activities of someone who lives in a country far away. I believe the more you learn about different people, the more you see yourself in them, and the more accepting you become."
2. Mini Robot Horse by Monroe Workshop
Handmade in Los Angeles, CA. These whimsical little guys are perfect for expanding young imaginations or decorating the desks of creative folks.
3. Grow Strong Growth Chart by Natti Natti
Our growth charts are the perfect gift for expecting parents and kids of all ages! They make a great stocking stuffer too. 100% cotton, Handmade in Brooklyn.
4. Player One at Norman & Jules
Okay, this handmade wooden box is super cool and i guarantee you will love it just as much as your kids! What looks like a traditional wooden block toy is actually an incredibly accurate voice recorder! Easy to use and super satisfying, this voice recorder can pick up singing, talking, and story time, then play back what you’ve said. You can have it playback fast or slow or keep it going on repeat!
5. Little Chicken Doll at Design Life Kids
This playful woolly soft toy is made from 100% luxurious baby alpaca wool which is naturally hypoallergenic and antibacterial. Knitted and embroidered by hand by a Bolivian fair trade company, this item supports small-scale production and helps to preserve traditional skills, giving a fair income to its wonderful knitters.
6. Harvest Knitted Blanket by Natti Natti x Marta Abad Blay
100% recycled cotton and made locally in small batches. Our recent blanket collaboration with Spanish artist Marta Abad Blay makes a wonderful gift for both children and adults! A beautiful addition anywhere in the home.
7. Swoop Bag
These bags make cleaning up a breeze! Perfect for legos or even stuffed animals! I plan on filling ours with some new lego sets to open on the big day. :)
